It has been a busy week and once again, I feel like an technology infant. I have been using technology for some time, but most of everything we've done up until now has been new.
I like blogging, I do not like twitter, I like google reader, and I think I like classroom 2.0. It is so much to take in...
I'm back in Florida (Miami this time) for work, but I'm keeping up and continuing to read others' blogs and read items posted on classroom 2.0. I hope to continue to figure all of this out as we go... and hopefully improve.
I still forget to go directly to google reader and instead, still go to each site separately. Bad habits are hard to break!

Twitter isn't for everyone - Keep at it for the next couple of weeks. If you don't start to see the benefit for you, then it is OK to drop it! But, I do want you to make the effort & connect with a lot of tech & science teachers before deciding.
ReplyDeleteI've had more luck actually setting up and working with twitter that blogging. I have learned so much during the trouble shooting process and many other people have stept up to offer help.
ReplyDeleteI ended up setting up a new blog inorder to find my errors in the 1st attempts. Its all good - learning has taken place.
One more comment: I have had reality check; I have been working with technology since the 1990's and felt I had a pretty good understanding. My how it continues to change and there are so many options. Options overload.
Overall - I appreciate my 16 year old who has built in patience with technology. He has grown up with it and isn't overwhelmed with the options. I have a meltdown and have to walk away for awhile. Just another issue to add to the generation gap!
Bad habits ... hard to break ... I share this problem with you. I set up an iGoogle page on the advice of another classmate, this helped me quite a bit. You can put Twitter, Facebook, Google Reader, and anything else you need all in one place. Might be worth checking out.
