    How are you liking Microbial Genetics? Is that with Elinor? I've taken Biofilms, Current Topics in Microbiology and Infection & Disease with her, they were all awesome.

    I feel very ignorant reading the articles that she assigns. Damn... they are difficult to understand. She seems very nice and hopefully things get a little easier.

    Yes, they are certainly difficult. You kind of get into the hang of picking out the important info after a while. Write questions on the margin and post them for discussion, she likes people starting new interesting threads (also check out sciencedaily.com for current news regarding what you're reading to bring in the "applied" aspect of it). I do think Microbial Genetics is probably the hardest of the four though... good luck with it!
